Contact Us

At Ozsom Care, we know that some of the most powerful moments of connection happen without a single word — just a calm animal, an open hand, and a smile that says everything. Our Animal Farm program gives NDIS participants the chance to spend time with friendly farm animals in a relaxed, nurturing setting. Whether it's feeding a goat, brushing a horse, or simply sitting quietly beside a lamb, these experiences bring real joy, calm, and confidence to the people we support. Fully accompanied by your Ozsom mentor, every visit is personalised, safe, and genuinely fun.

What Our Animal Farm Program Offers

We take care of everything so you can simply enjoy the experience. Our Animal Farm visits include:

  • Supported visits to local farms, animal sanctuaries, and petting zoos around Melbourne
  • Hands-on time with a variety of animals including horses, goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, and more
  • Guided animal care activities such as feeding, grooming, and leading animals
  • One-on-one support from your dedicated Ozsom mentor throughout every visit
  • Transport to and from the venue
  • Flexible session lengths to suit your comfort and energy levels

Why Animal Farm?

Spending time with animals offers benefits that go far beyond a fun day out. Research consistently shows that animal interaction can have a meaningful positive impact on people living with disability:

  • Emotional Wellbeing — animals offer comfort, reduce anxiety, and lift mood in a natural, non-judgmental way
  • Sensory Engagement — touching, hearing, and caring for animals provides rich and calming sensory experiences
  • Social Skills — interacting with animals in a group setting builds communication and confidence with others
  • Responsibility & Routine — learning to care for animals nurtures a sense of purpose and daily structure
  • Pure Joy — sometimes the best thing for your wellbeing is simply a great day out doing something you love

Who Is This For?

Our Animal Farm program is perfect for NDIS participants who:

  • Enjoy animals or have always wanted to spend time with them up close
  • Benefit from calm, sensory-rich environments and experiences
  • Want to try something new and build confidence in a supportive setting
  • Are looking for meaningful social and community activities
  • Would love a regular outing to look forward to each week

We welcome participants of all abilities and support levels — our mentors adapt every visit to suit you.
